Artist Statement

Whether behind a camera or leading a classroom, my work has always been about creating connections, access and understanding. As a storyteller and filmmaker, I am drawn to intimate and often overlooked stories about people or issues within the margins that the world might not otherwise see. It is my responsibility and goal to honor their stories, to create a bridge for compassion and to foster action.

I worked directly with brands like Capital One, Sony PlayStation, Restoration Hardware, Nintendo, Blue Shield of California, NFL, Supercell, and Artsy as well as with local and national artists, activists and caused-based organizations like Asian Law Caucus, Dolores Street Community Services and the Boys and Girls Club of San Francisco.
